J S D A Inc. is a nationally recognized design firm operating at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and cultural stewardship. We specialize in the transformation of workplaces, living spaces, and historically significant properties—serving the Western United States and beyond through a flexible, virtual model that reflects the future of work.

Our collective includes architects, designers, researchers, strategists, and makers, all driven by a shared commitment to shaping environments that elevate human potential. With deep expertise across design, product development, branding, industrial innovation, and systems thinking, we approach each project as a catalyst for positive change—for individuals, organizations, and communities.

We engage through a research-informed, with a purpose-driven lens. As our world rapidly evolves—through demographic shifts, digital innovation, environmental urgency, and hybrid modes of working and living—we design with adaptability, resilience, and equity at the core. Whether shaping a corporate headquarters or a regenerative living environment, we embrace the full complexity of context to deliver spaces that are meaningful, enduring, and inclusive.

Design is a force for transformation. We believe the most powerful spaces are those that balance function and beauty, amplify human well-being, and contribute to the health of our environment. Our work blends analytical precision with artistic exploration to uncover opportunities where others see only limitations.

J S D A is one of few firms in the US aligned with the B Corporation goals. Our certification as a Public Benefit Corporation reflects our ongoing dedication to environmental and social responsibility. In 2018, we were honored with a nomination for the Cooper Hewitt National Design Awards, and we continue to build our delivery ecosystem with mission-aligned nonprofits, companies, and civic organizations to drive change through design.

Our preservation work reflects a long-standing commitment to honoring architectural legacy while advancing sustainable design. Founder and design advocate Janice Stevenor Dale,  FIIDA, CID has led eight preservation efforts, restoring and reactivating culturally significant structures originally designed by noted architects such as Hudson & Munsell, Frank M. Tyler, Richard Dorman, Art Troutner, Carl Maston and Ray Kappe. These projects contribute to a more vibrant and equitable urban fabric, inspiring stewardship across generations.

From future-ready workplaces to living spaces that nurture connection and wellness, J S D A brings strategic vision and design excellence to every project—transforming real estate into real advantage.
